Collections
24 Collector is about resources relating to web design, social media, connecting and collecting. There are many activities involved in collecting resources for one’s most significant interests in life, and it also involves a variety of tools that collect, store, manage, arrange and distribute the information that is collected. It is a lifelong process, one that involves personal organization and environment creation. It is a way of intentionally working through life in discovery of meaningfulness.
This site is mainly for personal development and learning, but it is offered as a sharing process so that others may learn or share based on its contents and processes. If you have a comment, a contribution of a resource that relates to information contained herein, please connect with me and share your information. Feedback and comments about what you read are always welcome and appreciated. Everyone that responds to this blog will receive a return connection.
The process of collecting is an important one. It is not about collecting for the sake of collecting. It is more about finding information and resources that are meaningful in the context of when they were found, and then shifting them through the process of collecting to see if they are of value to be stored and made available for activity. When any asset is found to be no longer in context, it will be removed. There are no time schedules nor expected periods that control the usefulness of the environment. Only what is current and in the moment will be active. Categories will grow as a folksonomy and will also be changed or assimilated into other areas if the need arises. So this personal environment for collecting will process information and events and communications with others who wish to share in this growing process.
